RAIDERS STADIUM

STADIUM SITE HOLDS JUST 15% OF REQUIRED SPACES FOR PARKING

A traffic impact study required by Clark County reports that 16,250 parking spaces are required but only 2,400 parking spaces will fit on the 62 acres of land that was purchased for the Stadium.  The land was acquired for $77.5 million.

The study reports that additional parking will have to be designated with shuttle buses to the Stadium.  Another alternative is to purchase land close by the Stadium.  The land around the stadium has increased in value since the 62 acres was purchased for the Stadium.

The study also defines the Las Vegas Raiders game attendees as a 50 50 split of tourists and locals.  83% of the locals would want parking.  13% of the tourists would travel via public transportation.   20,000 tourists would walk to the Stadium based on the latest visitor profile.

There is a possibility that a pedestrian walkway would be built wide enough to handle a future monorail station at Mandalay Bay.
